
Awareness campaign on Dengue in Cuttack
Looking at the prevailing situation of Dengue in all over Odisha, Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State branch has oragnised an awareness campaign on Dengue at Jagatpur, Cuttack with the support of its Youth Red Cross Counsellors & Volunteers. At 11 a.m. an awareness rally was organized by Youth Red Cross volunteers, Counsellors at Jagatpur, Cuttack to disseminate information regarding the causes and remedies of Dengue to the public by holding placards, displaying posters and raising slogans. Besides, leaflets on Dengue were also distributed to the by passers. Further, a cleaning programme was organized at Laxminarayan Sahoo College, Jagatpur, Cuttack. More than 150 Youth Red Cross & Junior Red Cross Counsellors, volunteers from different Colleges and Schools Staffs of Red Cross participated in the programme. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Maj. Kalpana Das, Youth Red Cross Officer and supported by Mrs. Purnamasi Sahoo, Principal Laxminarayan Sahoo College., Mrs. Sasmita Pattanaik, YRC Counsellor, Laxminarayan Sahoo College and Sri Gopal Krushna Mishra, YRC Counsellor-cum-District Coordinator, Cuttack assisted in the programme.
