Working Committee Meeting of Youth Red Cross

The State Working Committee Meeting of Youth Red Cross (YRC), Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State Branch was held under the Chairmanship of Sri G.V.V Sharma, IAS., Principal Secretary to Govt., Deptt. of Higher Education, Odisha and Vice Chairman, State Working Committee, Youth Red Cross, Odisha at Red Cross Bhavan today.  Sri G.V.V. Sharma, IAS. inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp and floral attribute to the portrait of Sir Jean Henry Dunant. During the inaugural session of the meeting Dr. Chakradhar Panda, Secretary YRC extended a warm welcome to the members present and subsequently placed the budget and annual action plan for the year 2016-17 before the committee. He emphasized on the new initiatives to be taken by Youth Red Cross Odisha to build the capacity of Youth Red Cross Volunteers. Besides, he made presentation of a small video film and power point presentation on YRC Annual activities 2015-16. To continue the progressive work of Youth Red Cross Odisha and to popularize its activities some proceedings have been undertaken by the members in the said meeting. In this meeting Prof.(Dr.)  Nihar Ranjan Pattnaik, Director, Higher Education,  Prof.(Dr.) Basudev Chhatoi, Chairman, Council of Higher Secondary Education, Dr. Upendra Nath Sahu, SLO cum Deputy Secretary to Govt., Sri Sourjya Ranjan Parija, Deputy Director, (PE/NCC), and Principal, Rajendra (A) College, Bolangir, YRC Counsellor B.
